The editing process is a major part of the production time involved in making a MOOC. We finished all of our shooting about six weeks ago, but we are now deep in the process of integrating various visual inserts into studio footage.
With our course slated to start in September, this week has seen a lot of our efforts focused on completing the necessary materials for a marketing push at the start of July. The marketing push will include our course page (with a course summary) on edX and a trailer (a la the movies.)
For our course, “Education Policy and Politics”, we filmed nearly 20 interviews between Professor Peterson and various experts and practitioners in education.
Below, you can see an image of Professor Peterson speaking with Gerard Robinson, the former Commissioner of Education in Florida, former Secretary of Education in Virginia, and a leader at the online education company UniversityNow.
